Biography & Research:
I earned my PhD in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Pennsylvania. My research is grounded in a stress-vulnerability-resilience framework, with a focus on identifying and addressing environmental factors that influence psychotic and psychiatric symptoms. Adopting a comprehensive lifespan perspective, my previous work investigates neurobiological (e.g., sleep and stress biomarkers) and neuropsychological (e.g., executive function and social cognition) pathways that contribute to psychiatric symptoms, particularly in populations with depression and dementia. My long-term goal is to advance the understanding of how neurobiological and neuropsychological mechanisms mediate the relationship between environmental factors and behavioral manifestations, ultimately informing improved care strategies and interventions.
