Biography & Research:
Dr. Yannis is a Distinguished Professor (Nanshan Scholar) at Guangzhou Medical University and Deputy Director of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the Affiliated Brain Hospital. She serves as a doctoral and postdoctoral supervisor. Her research focuses on the role of psychological stress in psychosomatic disorders. She has led several national-level research projects and published over 30 SCI papers as first or corresponding author in journals such as Nat Hum Behav, J Am Coll Cardiol, JACC Heart Fail, and Nat Commun. Her work has received expert commentaries, with three papers listed in the ESI top 1% most-cited in clinical medicine. Dr. Yannis is a reviewer for journals including Eur Heart J and Am J Kidney Dis, and has received travel awards from EPA and ESC. She is also an executive committee member of the Brain Cognition and Health Branch of the Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics and a member of the International College of Psychosomatic Medicine.
