Mona Hmoud Al-Sheikh is an Associate Professor of Neurophysiology, currently holds the position of Vice President of the Saudi Society of Medical Education (SSME), and is an Academic Quality Consultant at Princess Nora University (PNU), an accreditation reviewer with the National Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) since 2012, a member of the Central Assessment Committee, previous chair of the medical education department, and head of the examination center at the College of Medicine, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. Her main achievements are the establishment of the medical education department, the faculty development program interprofessional ESHPE course, and the examination center in the medical college of IAU. Mona achieved the first position in the kingdom in high school, got an MBBS, a Ph.D. in neurophysiology, a master’s in Health Profession Education (MHPE), and an Advanced Assessment Certificate (Center of Medical Education, University of Dundee), was involved in 3 higher education quality tours with QAA and NCAAA of UK universities, the Philadelphia FAIMER fellowship 2019, and an Item Bank Administrator certificate from CUHK, and is in the process of getting the Postgraduate Degree in Assessment and Accreditation from Keele University. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate medical students and supervises master's and Ph.D. physiology and medical education students. Mona has published over 100 articles in reputable journals and conferences, is a reviewer in many educational and medical journals and conferences, and has achieved the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Award for scientific research. Her main research interests are learning theories and cognition, assessment, and competency-based education. Mona has just joined the ASU MENA Fri
