Biography & Research:
Dr. Blaine Roberts is a Research Fellow at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health at the University of Melbourne. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Montana State University and his PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Oregon State University. His research group focuses on using proteomics to understand Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He has a particular interest in understanding the role of metals in biology and has developed new proteomic technologies to measure metalloproteins. Further his group is using proteomics to characterize new blood borne biomarkers for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
